Gallery 27 is a popup exhibition space for artists, in it’s broadest understanding, starting out or in their early to mid term careers, interested in experimentation and dialogue around collaborative practises.
Founded by Clive Jarman, photographer and Fenya Sharkey, social arts practitioner.
Clive’s drive is to observe the kaleidoscopic qualities in the spacial through the lens of a camera.
Fenya engages in dialogues by collecting found objects and looking for traces of a world that is encoded in the symbolic. She see role as translator and story teller. She experiences these narratives coming into focus as she moves forward in time.
Their combined sensitvity and desire to reveal through art, experiences that can be described as ‘being located at the edge of what is possible’ underpins the theme of this gallery space and its curated exhibitions.
